SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT HOUSE
Same Same but Different House was Brady Sherwell's debut interior curation project. Nestled on a 405 square metre block in Albion (QLD) and completed mid-2022, Same Same but Different House was a collaboration in interior design and architecture with Maytree Studios and built by Allen Brothers Construction.
It is a double-storey newly-built home, with the theme of "new but old" being a key design theme where possible. The house is contemporary in both the interior and exterior with slight nods to Spanish Mission in key elements.
The bold colours and finishes of the interior were selected by Brady, with an onus on the use of texture and timber within the furnishings to offset the flat finish of the laminates used throughout the home.
Same Same but Different House was nominated for Habitus Living House of the Year in 2023.
